how much does wiring 10 points and a reheat coil 18/TSP in EMT cost?
how much does wiring 10 points and a reheat coil 18/TSP in EMT cost?
(OP)
I have to wire (one of many) ceiling mounted air conditioners in a large building, in the New York city area. the unit requires has ten points at the unit and a reaheat coil. The length of wire is 100 Feet. If you include the 120vac power wire, mounting and wiring the thermostat, how much is the electrical installation? I am coming up with about $5,000. Any suggestions?

Points are associated with DDC controls, not with electrical wiring.
Need to re-phrase the whole question. Not clear at all.

Your question is not very descriptive,I assume it is some central air handling system with zoned VAV or constant volume reheat boxes controlled by space temp sensors and communicating with some type of DDC or pneumatic control systems. I am not sure what "ten points at the unit" means, but will take it to mean there are ten control and reheat coil connections.
For power connections if you have ten 120V connections with an average of 100 ft to the circuit source, and you need a dedicated circuit for each,(you should be able to group several points on one circuit depending on actual load). You are looking at a 15A breaker, and 100' of 1/2" EMT with 3#12awg conductors, in an existing building with the typical difficulties in routing, you are looking at $1000/per drop. If you also have controls connections from the reheat boxes to the control system, depending on the relative locations you are looking at half of that again in conduit and control cable. So, with ten such connections, I would initially budget $15000.00 until you get better numbers.
Like I said, just a WAG, but from the electrical side, I think it's in the park.
Permits, fees, inspector's, doormen, etc..., not included.
Good Luck,
