I work for an engineering firm doing inspections and rehabilitation of waterfront properties and assets.  I have heard that there have been some form of studies suggesting a directly proportional relationship between loss of cross sectional thickness of sheet piling and the decrease in its section modulus and possibly radius of gyration.  Cannot find any calcs to support this and trying to do them myself.  My approach has been to recalculate the section modulus of a specific sheet type after having thinned the cross section by various percentages and then plotting the percent decrease of cross section against percent decrease of section modulus.  However, it has been a little frustrating due to the fact that spec sheets lack full detailed dimensions for sheet piling (an example of one I am doing is PZ27, which can be seen through this link http://www.hammersteel.com/sheet_piling.html.) Without these missing dimensions I cannot figure how to calculate the moment of inertia for the members let alone the section modulus or radius of gyration. Any suggestions to where i can find the calculations supporting this claim, more elaboratge specs for sheet piling or a way to calculate section modulus with just the information from  the standard spec sheets would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure about additional information but percentage reduction may not be the way to work it out as some sheetpiles have different webs and flange thicknesses. Corrosion is generally measured in say mm/yr so you would have different percentages for different original thicknesses.
