Hole Location

(OP)
How do you locate a hole in a pad off the two adjacent edges of the pad

RE: Hole Location

When you're Editing the Hole Feature, and in the left-most tab section of the dialog...there is a button on the right-middle/right-lower side of the dialog box that says "Sketch".

FYI...don't click this button fast, just click and wait. On my system if I get in a hurray, sometimes clicking this too fast after changing Tab pages can lock-up Catia.

RE: Hole Location

When inserting the hole feature, pick the two edges before picking the placement face. This will give automatic dimensions to the edges and you can double click on the dimensions in the graphic window to change value

RE: Hole Location

Put a point on the face that gets the hole. Start hole - pick point - pick face. The hole will follow the point. Many times I need a point for something anyway, so I let the point control it all.
