Never heard of it.

RE: Origin of the name Cabtire

Google is your friend, it's just cab and tyre are two separate words. There's plenty information about it, and the 'tire' variant too. Here's one for a start. smile

http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=39-OSewSkTcC&pg=PA205&lpg=PA205&dq=%22cab+tyre%22+insulation&source=web&ots=AKTtcRBsg8&sig=iBTFWk61DtZjls6xm7JZ5RsZ3SA&hl=en&sa=X&oi=book_result&resnum=4&;ct=result

When searching I tried "cab tire" insulation in Google.
