Is there a way to get a tilde (~) into a drafting note? I didn't see anything in the help docs and the usual trick of adding a '$' or '&' in front didn't work.

Still stuck on NX2.

RE: tilde in annotation

I don't have the 'latin_extended' font in my NX2 installation, is it a non-stock font?

Your suggestion did point me in the right direction, I cycled through the fonts I do have and found a tilde in only 3 of the 65 fonts (iso-1, haulpak, and cyrillic). Of these 3, haulpak will work best with the current font I am using. I will just use the font number control characters (<fn>~<f>) to get what I want.

Thanks

RE: tilde in annotation

There's nothing special about 'latin_extended' that I'm aware of and am surprised that it was not included with your release (from what I can tell, it's been around since NX 2).  In case you're interested, I've attached a copy of it below.  Place it in the...

\UGII\ugfonts

...folder.

RE: tilde in annotation

It's included in our copies of NX5 and 6.
Time to move up?

Here's the weird part: that font already exists in my local UGII\ugfonts directory. NX must be looking in a network folder for the fonts, I'll try to track that one down.

ewh,
Yes, it is really time to move up - but it is out of my control. Rumor has it we are moving to NX6 'soon', but I am not holding my breath.
