What is this?

I'm trying to figure out what this part may be from, it is beat up bad because it went through our horizontal wood grinder. If you have any thoughts or ideas, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

RE: What is this?

Was this upstream in a mill?

RE: What is this?

That ever it was, it's now beyond repair blllttt

The part was inadvertently pushed into a brush pile and loaded into the grinder unknowingly.  It looks as though it is some sort of pump casing, or bearing casing of some sort.  Just trying to figure out what it is, to hopefully determine where we potentially picked it up at.
