Fuse Terminology

Fuse Terminology

Fuse Terminology

(OP)
I've been trying to find a good reference on fuse terminology to help me understand what all of the terms mean.  I've downloaded Bussmann's "Fuseology" book (pretty good) and some others, but still can't find an answer the explains it all.

For Example what does 3AGC mean?  I found some references on the web that say the "AG" means "Automotive Glass", which is all well and good, but...
1. Is this true?
2. Where did this come from?
3. What about the other terms?

Can anyone point me to something on the WWW or a book?

Signed,
Day's and Confused

RE: Fuse Terminology

Do not quote me on this one, but...

I believe the code is for the following:
A - Size of fuse
G - Glass encapsulation
C - Circular connection cap

Dan - Owner
