How do I remove the view boundary from a detail view?

Thanks!

RE: How to remove view boundary

Hello,

I thought I got it but the customer wants something different.
Instead or removing the whole round boundary from the detailed view, he just want to remove a portion of it, and leave the boundary where it actually cuts through the material.  See jpg.  The small detail view on the left is good. The big one on the right is NOT.

I tried trimming the existing boundary to the section cut but it does not work.  What I did was create an arc at the bottom.
Problem is that when we move this view, the arc gets left behind.

Is there a better way of doing this?

RE: How to remove view boundary

Yes there is a better way to do it, but right now I am off of work (for the Thanksgiving holiday) ... on Monday I can give you step by step instructions.

RE: How to remove view boundary

Try expand the view, create the curve/arc, the shape of the boundary you want. Get back to the drawing. Then try edit view boundary, by defining object, select the curve you create as the boundary. Hope these helps, thanks.
