Save english part as metric part

Save english part as metric part

Not sure if this is possible but how do you save an english unit part as a metric part. If it is possible are there any issues with the conversion?

RE: Save english part as metric part

I am almost certain that there is a way to do it. I remember doing it many years ago. Maybe John Baker has the answer.

RE: Save english part as metric part

There is NO way to "Save" an Imperial unit part file AS a Metric unit part file.  However, as noted in the thread the was referenced, there is a standalone utility which will convert the base units of a part file, Inch to mm, or mm to Inch, as well as adjust the size of the model so that the results are the same physical size, but it cannot be done as part of an interactive session of NX.
