Valve seats for 1500# and 2500# ball valve

Valve seats for 1500# and 2500# ball valve

(OP)
Hi,

I try to determine what would be the seat material for ANSI 1500# and 2500# ball valves. I found some companies use nylon seats, some companies use RTFE seats. Which one is the better? What are the differences between them?

Thanks,

RE: Valve seats for 1500# and 2500# ball valve

I gather you require bubble tight shut off and hence the soft seats?
These are extremely high rating for 'soft seated' valves.
You should only use a known company who have a large amount of history and can show you the quantities and industries these valves have been placed in. Unfortunately I don't know the size, application etc etc to be able to recommend a manufacturer, although you will be limited in these classes to gate, globe or ball(in very small sizes, Triple offset although metal seated are classed in the soft seated catagory.
