Exporting Sectioned Facet views.

Exporting Sectioned Facet views.

Exporting Sectioned Facet views.

(OP)
I have a very large assembly, the only way I can visualise this whole assembly is to use facets.

Due to the size of the assembly, it is not possible to create an associative drawing of the assembly as I can't have both parts open at the same time.  I am currently using the assembly hidden line command to created & export geometry which will be used to define the views in a drawing.

This process works really well, and gives me a very small drawing part file size.

I need to create a section view of this faceted assembly. By using the 'view > Operation > Section' command I can get the view I want, however I have no method to export this view as the hidden line command doesn't render the view correctly

Does anyone have any ideas?

Cheers in advance.

RE: Exporting Sectioned Facet views.

When you say export the view where do you want to export it to and why? What methods have you tried?

Maybe a CGM would work as well and any other option.

Cheers

Hudson
