Composite Slab Moment of Inertia

Composite Slab Moment of Inertia

(OP)
Has anyone seen a decking manufacturer's published list of slab / deck moments of inertia?  I need to calculate deflections for various deck types and slab thicknesses and it would be nice to see this published.

RE: Composite Slab Moment of Inertia

See the "Composite Deck Design Handbook" published by SDI (Mar, 1997, Heagler et al.). No. CDD2

http://www.sdi.org/manuals.htm

It has the data you are looking for.

RE: Composite Slab Moment of Inertia

If you have something not in a catalog, then just compute it manually using basic mechanics.  Transform the deck to cocnrete or transform the concrete to steel and compute the transformed MOI.
