Perkins marine Sabre diesel

Perkins marine Sabre diesel

(OP)
Anybody know anything about the Perkins Sabre marine diesels?

RE: Perkins marine Sabre diesel

Perkins makes engines.
Sabre marinizes Perkins engines.
What else do you want to know?

Tut tut, Mike. A little terse, maybe.

The quality of an answer often reflects the quality of the question.

I thought Mike was generous.

My instinctive answer to the OP is simply Yes.

Further comment requires a more carefully thought out question and I have better things to do than play 20 questions before we can begin to think of an answer to the real question.

I also have better things to do than to create a 20 or 30 page paper in a hope to hit the real question somewhere in that answer.

Pat

Rotters, dole out some milk of human kindness.

You're hard men.

Do you think someone's slipped someting into my tea today?

This happens to be the OP's first post here (over about two weeks' total membership time).  He'd be well-advised to ask somewhat more specific questions if he expects to receive more useful answers.

MekMik - don't be discouraged by these gnarly old engineer types.

Beneath those world-worn, rough exteriors lie.....world-worn, rough interiors.

I must admit I'd never heard of this company.  A diesel engine company in the Westcountry.  Hmm, something to ponder on if the axe drops here.

RE: Perkins marine Sabre diesel

Sabre, as far as I am aware, have been doing this sort of work for many, many years.

Thirty-odd years ago they were doing marinisation work on the Ford 'Dorset' and 'Dover' engines that went into the 'D' series and European 'Cargo' trucks that I worked on.
Some of these went into the 'offshore' power boat classes.
