Rolled weldment construction

Rolled weldment construction

Rolled weldment construction

(OP)
Hi

Could anyone please let me know how to bend or roll a squaretube ex. 100x100x5 mm in a radius of approximate 14000 mm. The arc-length is approximately 6600 mm.

I don't want to use "sweep-feature"
Is it possible to fix it, in a "weldment-construction"??

RE: Rolled weldment construction

Yes, you can use a Weldment to create the curved tube, but it will not be straighten-able. If you use the Flex feature, as Chris suggested, a config could be easily created by suppressing/unsupressing the Flex feature.

cheers
