I am currently using Microsoft Project 2003.  My question is how do I change the order of the parts from my drop down Resourse list on the Gantt Chart?    the list shows the order of inputs on the Resource Sheet (most current being at the bottom) I would like to switch from Most recent to alphabetical and vice versa.  Just I need to find parts I have already used and not search for them by when I have used them prior.

The only way to change the order of the dropdown list in 2003 is to change the order of the resources on the resource sheet.  Make sure that all of your resources are in last name, first name order.  Then go to Project, sort, sort by.  Then select "name" and click the "permanently renumber resources" flag at the bottom of the form.  Click Sort.  Then immediately go back into the sort function and turn off the flag.  If you don't you could cause other problems later.  Now when you assign resources, they will be in alphabetic order. sorry to say that 2007 will do this for you automatically.
