solvent store room - air change rate

solvent store room - air change rate

(OP)
What is the air change rate for a Solvent store room? I need to mechanically ventilate it. There are ventilated solvent storage cupboards in the solvent store room with ventilation from the cupbaords also.

RE: solvent store room - air change rate

0-60+ xchanges a minute or more. It all depends what you're trying to rate it at (if doing it for electrical code). If you have a different goal in mind, i.e. prevent degradation of building coatings, structure, etc... then the calculations might vary.

RE: solvent store room - air change rate

I would start with a minimum of six (6) air changes per hour.

RE: solvent store room - air change rate

Under the International Mechanical Code and NFPA 30, design for a minimum 1 CFM/Square Foot of floor area. The 6 ACH value is no longer recognized by the models codes.
