wood screws of different lengths from a single 2blow die. is it possible to make.

RE: wood screws: can we make screws od

The "gimlet" point of wood screws is a "pinch point" that is produced by a special threadroll die that shears off a very small portion of the end of the (square-ended) headed blank and produces the finished point.  As the square-ended blank is produced in a "straight hole" ("non-pointing") die, different blank (and screw) lengths of the same diamter can be made in the same die.
