2009 Appearance Manager - Texture missing "Blend Color"

2009 Appearance Manager - Texture missing "Blend Color"

(OP)
So I installed 2009 with SP1.0 and I found a bug with the first part I opened. I have many parts created in 2008 that have one face that has a texture (waffle, used to simulate knurling) applied. In 2008, the Texture Properties menu has a "Blend color" check box option.

In 2009, color and texture are now handled by the "Appearance Manager". When I open the parts in question in 2009, the textured surface defaults to a grey color. When I RMB the face and select the "Appearance Manager" sphere icon, the Texture Properties menu does not have a "Blend color" check box option and no color submenu will open for that face. I now have a bunch of drawings used for customer instructions that will not display correctly in 2009.

I called my VAR, he forwarded it to SW and they issued an SPR. From past experience I know this means it may never be addressed. I find it harder and harder to recommend SolidWorks. I wish they would quit adding new features and just make things work.
