Manufacturer of "Vented Pipe Cap"

(OP)
We currently have a 6" open ended pipe that we take % oxygen readings off of when purging a vessel with nitrogen.  An issue has beeen brought up with asphyxiation hazards due to testing the atmosphere while the vessel is still N2 inerted.  We were thinking about a pipe cap with a 1/2 capped vent on it or a 1/2" ball valve on it to take the readings.  There is a valve before this cap so there would be isolation when opening the valve or cap.

Our maintenance staff is low and busy so does anyone know a company that makes these things to buy?  I'm guessing these types of fittings are standard for other uses?

Thanks in advance.

RE: Manufacturer of "Vented Pipe Cap"

RE: Manufacturer of "Vented Pipe Cap"

To get a representative sample you must have adequate vent flow when taking the sample. You should take the sample from a tee (or sampling valve) in the vent line and vent the exhaust a safe distance away from the sampling location.
