Hysys Property Package

Hysys Property Package

Hysys Property Package

(OP)
Hi to all.
Can some one tell which Hysys property package can be used for following fluids;

1- Water/Sea Water

2- Air

3- Nitrogen

RE: Hysys Property Package

The documentation includes a listing of the various packages and their forces and weaknesses.

As a chemist you should however know this up front or at least have your book within arms reach to re-read this subject.

Best regards
Morten

RE: Hysys Property Package

HYSYS has 37 different packages.  PR is a good start or SRK.  Start with these until you need something better.  These are usually easily converged.  Start simple.  Refine your model when you have a better idea of what your important variables are.

RE: Hysys Property Package

mfelzein PR and SKR are not strong on water - and if if water chemistry e.g. electrolytes activity based models are better. But it depends on many factors and this point is what seperates the chemists from the rest i guess.

Its not always a question of convergene!

Best regards

Morten
