Extra Stud (Size>1 1/2") Length For Hydralic Tensioner

Extra Stud (Size>1 1/2") Length For Hydralic Tensioner

Extra Stud (Size>1 1/2") Length For Hydralic Tensioner

(OP)
Hello everybody,

1) For Studs > 1 1/2" manufacturer is using Hydraulic Tensioner, Does Stud length shall have extra margin of one nut each on Both Sides? Is it ok if only one side has that margin? What is general practice?

2) Does both Saddles of Top Exchanger shall have Slots in Stacked Exchanger? OR the One above Fixed shall have Holes and the One Above Sliding shall have Slots?

I am trying to find answers for these for a while now without success, please help with your replies.

Thanks
Dinesh

RE: Extra Stud (Size>1 1/2") Length For Hydralic Tensioner

For your first question, I think a good practice would be to have a extra length of One Diameter in the whole bolt.

Question #1 - You need to find out what kind of Hydraulic Tensioner will be used and then comply with their requirements.

Question #2 - Contact the Exchanger Vendor
