Dear all,
Our Ammonia plant is KBR technology with BASF CO2 removal technology.
Now we face a problem in CO2 removal system.
The problem is Hydrogen in CO2 increasing from 0.2 to 0.8% in the past eight month.
So I sincerely ask you ;
1) in CO2 removal of your ammonia plant, in the past, have you had same/similar problem (increasing hydrogen in CO2) ?
2) if yes, how do you solve the problem ? (for example, increasing the concentration of aMDEA ?)
thank you very much.

RE: Hydrogen content in CO2 increasing with MDEA CO2 removal technology

1) increase make up ( change) Amine for 1 week and monitor again

2) Increase regentemperature of regenerator column 2-3 C

please share the results if H2 not come from the feed
