Does anyone remember SolidWortks Moldbase?

Does anyone remember SolidWortks Moldbase?

Does anyone remember SolidWortks Moldbase?

(OP)
I was poking around the SolidWorks installation folders and came across the databases for moldbase components.  I also noticed that in the Edit Data Standards it lists some of the commom moldbase suppliers.

How simple is it to connect the old Moldbase files to these databases that are listed?

RE: Does anyone remember SolidWortks Moldbase?

I think the database tables are primarily there to support functionality that remains in Hole Wizard and Series.  (Such that you can still create a counterbored hole to fit a DME ejector pin.)

The mold assemblies, components, and UI are no longer installed; so it would be a lot of work to get more functionality out of it other than holes.

Even if you could merge databases, I'm not sure doing so would be legal (for copyright reasons). Tech Support would probably be voided also.

cheers
