ANSI 600# Rated Lined Valve?

ANSI 600# Rated Lined Valve?

ANSI 600# Rated Lined Valve?

(OP)
Are there any valve manufactureres out there that offer a 600# ANSI rated (@500-550F) lined valve? Or am I going to have to go the alloy route?

RE: ANSI 600# Rated Lined Valve?

I'll vote for Alloys.  Bonding a fluorocarbon liner to a valve is not the most structurally efficient construction.  Having it stay bonded at Class 600 limits is a real trick.

You MIGHT find a vendor who will offer a class 300 valve with class 600 connections.

RE: ANSI 600# Rated Lined Valve?

What is the application? Could other types of surface protection / applied coatings be utilized? Enamel? Others?

RE: ANSI 600# Rated Lined Valve?

500-550F is at or past the temp limit for most fluoro-resins.  At this pressure I would be concerned that a glass-lined valve would stretch enough to put fractures into the lining.

Spend the money for alloys..It's worth the difference to be able to sleep at night.
