hi guys,,

the designing of specified areas at hospitals needs a define value of R.H. like 70% the hap define the resultant r.h. on waht bases and if i want to change the relative hunmidity what shall i do?

the hospital  areas needs to be served by define air circumistances (r.h.%, temp.,ach...etc) how can i make control R.H. value or make it as an input data at hourly analysis prgramme?

Under the system tab, for the AHU, click the Dehumdification button. Set the maximum RH setpoint there.

For higher air flows, override the minimum air flow to your ACH in 'Zone Components'

Call a Carrier rep, buy some HAP training... hospitals are tricky.

RH and temperature control is a balance of space sensible heat gain, space latent gain, supply air temperature, supply air quantity, and supply air humidity.  To use HAP and the effect of the various settings you  need to understand the psychrometrics of the system you are designing before ticking the various option boxes in HAP.  

HAP is very capable software, but no more capable than the person driving it.

One of our grads did a preliminary design for a system with dehumidifation control which basically relied on full cooling with full reheat, technically it would have worked fine, but would have been very energy inefficient.

R.H. couldnt be controlled at fan coil unit as it doesnt contain demumdifier or reheater so i ve reached that any place needs a certain R.H. i must use a n A.H.U. even if the capacity is small because i ve tried to increase the by pass factor to manipulate r.h i even tried to decrease the supply temprature but f course all these tries are not right

Carrier has already introduced HAP version 4.4.
