micro ball screw (left handed)

micro ball screw (left handed)

micro ball screw (left handed)

(OP)
Does anyone know of a vendor that would sell or even make a left hand ball screw for me? I have been beating my head against the wall trying to find one that is small enough. The only company that I have found is only willing to sell them if I order more then 100.
I am looking for a left hand ball screw with a shaft diameter of 6mm or smaller. The one in the link would be perfect but they wont sell four at a time.

Thanks for the help!

RE: micro ball screw (left handed)

Do you mean a left handed helix?

You might want to give the Nook Industries people a call.

If quanity is a problem I have asked for the names of of people who are purchasing the component in question. If they give you a name try calling them and see if they will sell you the 4 that you want. Works about half the time if you are not a competitor.

Some companies will waive the quanity rules if you can get a tech rep and convince him that this development quantity and there are potential quality sales down the road.

Tried THK?

-handleman, CSWP (The new, easy test)

Yes if Nook industries made a smaller model that would be the ticket. I need a ball screw between 4m and 6mm in diameter.

I tried THK but I was unsuccesful.

Any other ideas? I am almost to the point of looking for a custom manufacture.

Thanks,
Ian

RE: micro ball screw (left handed)

I would give Heli-Tek a call. They have a 10mm listed but they mention that miniature ball screws are coming. I don't know if this an Internet update problem are they are just gearing up to make small ball screws.

If you are still around you might want to give Roton a call if not for now maybe later. It is a good one to have on the back burner.

RE: micro ball screw (left handed)

Hi,

I'm looking for an even smaller ball screw, in the order of 1 mm in diameter and a(massive) length of about 100 mm. What I found until now are the following:

http://www.thk.co.uk/pdf/Micro-Products_EU_LF.pdf

http://www.abssac.co.uk/s/Ballscrew+Ground/1/6/  (they got one with a diameter of 1.8 mm but only a length of about 36 mm)

http://www.steinmeyer.com/english/kataloge/pdf/bssm.pdf (3mm)

Any other suggestions are verry welcome.

Kind regards,

Menkert
