If the heat exchange tube side in sour water service (or caustic, amine service, is PWHT required for tube to tube sheet welds?

No, you cannot PWHT the tubesheet + tubes because there is risk of breaking the weld (by the way, breaking the strength of tube expansion also), due to differential expansion of the assembly in the furnace.

I heard that the manufacturer perform PWHT for Cr-Mo tube to tube sheet welds. Is it true?
