Batch Export of Step files

Batch Export of Step files

Batch Export of Step files

(OP)
I have around 200 assemblies that I need to export out of Teamcenter, hopefully as Step files.  Does anyone know of a way to do this other than opening all the assemblies up and doing an export individually?

RE: Batch Export of Step files

Using teamcentre makes that task just that bit harder than it would be were you working in native.

Is step simply your best guess as to which tool might work or would you also perhaps prefer to export the data into native as NX .prt files. Another consideration might be to ask whether you ever intend to change that data and import the results back in to teamcentre in which case I would have a greater tendency to export the CAD files first, using NX manager tools.

Cheers

RE: Batch Export of Step files

Hello,

You could export the UG data out of tce then use the external step translator.

hope this helps!

RE: Batch Export of Step files

I too would say that using the external STEP translator is the best way to export batch files.
To Get there in WINDOWS:
START>PROGRAMS>UGNX>TRANSLATORS>STEPAP203(or 214)>IMPORT OR EXPORT

RE: Batch Export of Step files

And I dont think the question got answered. Dcall was asking about batch export, can this be done ? I know that it can be accomplished in Catia, doing that from NX would be great too.

RE: Batch Export of Step files

You can do a batch export out of teamcenter and you can also do a batch translate using STEP or IGES by launching the translator from the Windows START Panel.
