How common is it to specify draped weld wire reinforcement?  For smaller projects <$100,000 is this a good alternative to specifying #3 or #4 bars in each direction (to address + an - moments)?  Any experiences with draping WWR?

RE: draped WWR

Zennis,

I would never consider it. This arrangement would be terrible for partial or localised loadings. A UDL is only an approximation for design. It is not a real loading.
