Need material recommendations

(OP)
I have an application where I need to provide a pump that pumps a 25% concentrate magnesium chloride from a pond. My main concern (or question) is about the volute and impeller material. From what I've read, magnesium chloride is fairly corrosive.

Has anyone worked with pumping a solution such as this and what types of materials could you recommend?

RE: Need material recommendations

Carbon graphite, hastelloy, rubberize the volute and impeller, etc.... Or just do a sacrificial pump analysis with CS, which will last a bit

>5% magnesium chloride PFA(virgin teflon) and TEFZEL are recommended

RE: Need material recommendations

You aklso need to consider any other wetted area's such as the seal area / shaft sleeves/ seals etc, also - what are you doing for pipe work including any valves needed for the system?

RE: Need material recommendations

PFA or ETFE lined are often used for such applications.  Mag drive could work subject to a few more parameters being defined, or slurry seal if solids present (single or double arrangement)
