Modeling From Photo
Modeling From Photo
(OP)
Hello to the collective. I've tried a "search" but couldn't come up with anything. The program Catia has a function that allows you to use a digital photograph and create a surfaces/solid model from this. There are some aspects about this that could be useful and I wondered if this could be done in Pro-e. I'm wondering if this is just as simple as importing the digital image (somehow) and workingt with a wireframe and datum curves. I saw this done in a video so I don't have more info about how the Catia function works. I was using 2001 and upgraded to Wildfire 3.0 Thanks in advance for all replies.

I have tried this w/the Style feature once (WF2) and it imported okay. Lesson 12 (towards the end) has an example of how to do this and they use .gif files to create profile curves.
First time I've posted here so I hope you get all three files; Lesson 12.pdf, top.gif, and side .gif.
Hope this helps you.

First files did not go through.
This zipped file has all that you need for reference.
