Spherical Rod End

Spherical Rod End

(OP)
Hello all, I am new to this community. I have a question that has stumped me now for a few weeks.
I have drawn a basic spherical rod end (2 pieces). When I attempt to assemble the sphere into the housing I use a ball connection. This allows me to rotate the ball 360° however, applying angular constraints has baffled me. I want to be able to move the sphere in the manner that the ball connection allows but when the thru shaft comes in contact with the housing, i would like it to stop.
Can anyone shed some light on the situation?

-Thanks,
Chris Merani
