Any innovative fireproofing products out there other than the usual spray on fireproofing, cast-in-place concrete encasing, or a constructed protection boxing ?

Another option is intumescent paint.  Commonly used for architecturally exposed steel.

i have heard somthing about it. should i trust it. how good is it?

As the result from lab testing, the intumescent can resist fire about 2 hours
