Mastercam - SolidWorks - PDMWorks Enterprise?

Mastercam - SolidWorks - PDMWorks Enterprise?

Mastercam - SolidWorks - PDMWorks Enterprise?

(OP)
We run Mastercam (X3) and PDMWorks Enterprise.

It appears these 2 programs don't play nicely.  It's gotten to the point where we have to keep all our Mastercam files outside of PDMWorks Enterprise, which is frustrating, as PDMWorks Enterprise would be an excelent tool for managing them, along with their SolidWorks files.

Does anyone have experience with Mastercam and a PDM package?  Do you have issues with it?  I can't find much help out there, and both Mastercam and PDMWorks Enterprise point the finger at each other.

Thanks for any advice,

Jack

RE: Mastercam - SolidWorks - PDMWorks Enterprise?

No MasterCAM in not an add in like CAMWorks.  It's a stand alone program.  We are in the process of setting up Enterprise and we use MC X3.  We have yet to come across that problem since we're still trying to deal with our SWx data.

But we were told by our VAR that SWx Enterprise can read in most all file types.  This is concern for us because we want to store our ECAD data.
