Help on dimensions of a bird

Help on dimensions of a bird

(OP)
I am studying the impact of a Bird Strike in a Landing Gear, but on  FAR 25.631 refers only to the weight of the bird that is 4 lb, but I need the diameter of the bird. I've seen in some documents the diameter of 106 mm, but I didn't find any reference for this number, Could anyone know where I can find this reference? Thanks.

RE: Help on dimensions of a bird

The bird should be slightly heavier than water.  Boeing has approved this weight for the bird.

RE: Help on dimensions of a bird

There are already a couple of birdstrike threads on this site, one of which contains links to documents related to this subject.
