Wow, i managed to not give a decent description of what my issue is-

I've got the MX1100 mouse set up for general use, but I am having a hard time attempting to get it set for Solidworks and Drawing Editor.  The thread I have linked above contains information regarding the MX1000, and I would like to know if the same thing applies for the MX1100, or do i need to direct my attention somewhere else

You need to set the middle button to be "Middle button" or "Button 3" rather than any type of scroll or universal scroll or whatever.  And you need uberOptions, as linked in the thread you mentioned.
