Angular Dim text & line position

Angular Dim text & line position

Angular Dim text & line position

(OP)
In Draft mode:
I could not able to position angular dimension text where I wanted to. SE is restricting text position. Attached file explains it more.

Do anybody have solution?
Thanks

RE: Angular Dim text & line position

This is a REALLY odd solution.
RMB on the dimension then Properties.
Now on the Lines and Co-ordinate tab set the Break Line Gap to a NEGATIVE number.
So if normally it's 1.5 set it to -1.5

RE: Angular Dim text & line position

Sorry, I didn't test it enough. Use a value of -1.

Hi beachcomber,
It is not working either way. There is no "break line gap"

I have tried following.

Under Dimension Line
stack pitch: -1,  -1.5 and other values
Break Line: (negative not allowed)

Under Projection Line
Element Gap: -1, -1.5 and other values
Extension: -1, -1.5 and other values
Break: (negative not allowed)

RE: Angular Dim text & line position

Sorry - that should be 'Break Line' not 'Break Line Gap'

RE: Angular Dim text & line position

You're correct - I just discovered it doesn't work on V20 - will not accept negative values.
My solution works on V19.

RE: Angular Dim text & line position

Hi,

There is quite a simple method of moving the dimension value and that is to first click and hold the number with LMB, then press and hold the shift key. You will then be able to move the location of the dimension value.

Thanks m4rc,
This works. Simple but very useful solution.

RE: Angular Dim text & line position

I'd never have thought of that.
Any more instances where that solution works?
