Im using Descon, but it only can design the connection for the main plane.  But i also have two braces comming into the joint in another plane. Any ideas on how i can get these connected to the joint?

RE: Ideas on this Connection

With a bracket?

RE: Ideas on this Connection

Gusset plates.  Are you designing the connection, or is a computer program doing it?  If you rely solely on a program, no need to come looking for assistance when the program doesn't work.  You need to understand the design yourself.

Well, i am having the computer to design the general layout.  Then I am going to design the connection and welding.   Every book i have been reading about welding only talks about simple connections.

Where can i go to research advanced connections where 7, 8 members coming to a single point?

RE: Ideas on this Connection
