Seat track extrusion - BAC1520-841

Seat track extrusion - BAC1520-841

(OP)
Hi there,

I am looking for a seat track extrusion used in Boeing aircraft.
I am having difficulties to find BAC1520-841 seat track extrusions which are already drilled with the standard hole pattern (dia.0.78", pitch 1").

Does anybody knows where i could purchase such an extrusion?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Benny.

RE: Seat track extrusion - BAC1520-841

Not familiar with the -841 extrusion, but other seat track extrusions that I have dealt with in the past, -792, -2789, came undrilled and we had to send it to the machine shop to induce the hole pattern, we also found that it was easier for the machine shop to scallop the lower flanges where it crosses the floor beams therefore we initiated an in-house dwg and part number to have lengths of the seat track fabricated from the stock extrusion and stocked.  Then when a mechanic needed a section he pulled the pre-drilled and pre scalloped part from stock.

Benny -

BAC1520-841 is the same as TMS 60-5034 (Transtar, Tiernay, Castle, or whatever they call themselves nowadays).

You will have to specify drilled per MS33601 to have it come that way.

Hope that helps.
