Law curve define

Law curve define

Law curve define

(OP)
Hello

I'm trying to make a law curve for define the evolvent of an gear teeth.

I define the x,y and z equations for the spline and a constant that define from where the curve starts.

Now, I'm having trouble to define the law curve paramteres.

Tadej

RE: Law curve define

You will need to write your equations as expressions in terms of a parameter (usually 't'). The value of 't' will vary from 0 to 1. You can then use your expressions in the law curve definition.

Law curves are both powerful and (potentially) complex. The above is one way to use them; there are other ways to create a law curve, e.g. based on another curve or a simple linear progression.

Perhaps if you post what you have so far we can all put our heads together and come up with something both usable and robust.

I made it....i found the procedure to do the curve...

Ok...now i don't need any help...but when I finish to make the gear with spline feature...I'll post the model, so you can see how things works....

It would be a parametrized feature that do any type of gears with evolvente. If anybody will need that.

Tadej
