How to model a cantilever beam in ETABS framing?

How to model a cantilever beam in ETABS framing?

I use RAM before, and I'm new in ETABS.

I have a question: How to model a cantilever beam in the ETABS framing?

Many thanks.

Can anyone help me with this question?

Thanks.

What is the difficulty? Model it connected at one end, and not at the other. Can you be more specific?

Welcome to ETABS, you will surely like it more than RAM :)

Thanks slickdeals. You mean we can directly draw a cantilever beam with one end attached to a beam or column while the other end attached to nothing? The beam end is default to be fixed or pinned?

RE: How to model a cantilever beam in ETABS framing?

In ETABS, things are fixed by default unless specified explicitly to be pinned.
