Zeron and Superduplex

I saw Zeron listed separately from Superduplex and I was just wondering if welding Zeron is a quantum difference or just similar to other Superduplex.

RE: Zeron and Superduplex

There is no quantum difference between Z100 and superduplex stainless steel. Slight difference in formulation for Z100 to allow for their own name brand to be sold.

Zeron 100, 2507, DP3W, F255
Trust me, a welder couldn't tell them apart.  And without the cert a metallurgist couldn't either.  The chemistry and properties are so similar.
I see people use them interchangeably because not all product forms are available in each alloy.
