Reinforcing pad telltale hole per ASME UW-15(c)

Reinforcing pad telltale hole per ASME UW-15(c)

I am looking at what I think to be a customer spec that has not been updated in many years.
They are calling for a 1/4" threaded hole in a repad, per UW-15(c).  I am wondering if this requirement was taken out of the code (similar to UG-25 a required specific corrosion allowance for certain conditions for steel vessels under 1/4" thick.)
Does anyone remember this?
Thanks,
Wallace24

RE: Reinforcing pad telltale hole per ASME UW-15(c)

Telltale hole requirement on repad is now on UG-37(g) of 2007 ASME Section VIII Div. 1
