Yield stress selection
Yield stress selection
(OP)
I am doing eletrical magnetic force calculation for bus bar design. In order to determin the maximum span distance between supports, the maximum bending stress have to be calculated and it should not exceed yield stress of the material (c10200 copper). My question is is there any difference of yield stress between annealed copper and hard drawn copper? which yield stress is larger?
Thanks in advance!

I have few knowledge of materials. Following the link you provided, I was directed to: http:
what is the difference between H80(40%) and H55 (15%) for c10200? Thanks again for your help!
RE: Yield stress selection
The temper designations for wrought copper and alloys are defined in the ASTM standard below, if you have access to one
http://www.astm.org/Standards/B601.htm
If you don't, you can Google copper temper designations and find some of this information defined, as below
