Constrain Nodes at Current Location within a Multi-step Process

Constrain Nodes at Current Location within a Multi-step Process

(OP)
Hi,

I am working in workbench V11 and I have a two step process:

(1) Step one apply displacement.
(2) Hold that displacement and now fix an edge at its current location.

Is there a way to do this elegantly in workbench? I suppose one way to do this is to get the location of each node within load step two and apply a displacement equal to its current location.

Thanks for any help or suggestions you might have.
