Could anyone please advise what is the approximate ratio of flange OD to the pipe of the same diameter? Thanks in advance.

RE: Ratio of Flange OD to Pipe Size

What is the flange rating?

RE: Ratio of Flange OD to Pipe Size

Dear "NewPiping" you sound like a novice.  It that correct?
If so then you need to read the information noted by "BigInch" in the link he provided.
You also should go to www.pipingdesigners.com and read ALL the information you find there under the buttons (TIPS, TOOLS, TRAINING, STANDARDS & FORUM) at the top of the screen.

You will learn a lot.

RE: Ratio of Flange OD to Pipe Size

The "Ratio of Flange OD to Pipe Size" has nothing to do with anything.

Yes. I am still very new. I would like to know if eg. a 3" pipe connecting to 3" WN flange. The O.D is bigger than 3" pipe but is there a standard to determine the O.D of flange required. Regardless of the rating?
