API tubing casing grade

API tubing casing grade

API tubing casing grade

(OP)
Hi.

Is there a free document/paper that describes the different grades of tubing and casing (J-55, L-80, P-110, etc.).

I am interested in metallurgy, yield/ultimate stress, strain at fracture, hardness.

"API SPEC 5CT" appears to be the standard but is this info freely available somewhere?

Thanks.

RE: API tubing casing grade

The API 5CT is now identical to ISO 11960 (the API ed 2005, issued in January 2006), but is only available at cost from API...Did you try to ask a manufacturer for a complete specification of the tubing you are intersted on, they would have more information than the standard might give you.
Cheers,
gr2vessels
