Apron conveyor problems.

Apron conveyor problems.

Apron conveyor problems.

(OP)
Hi everybody,

First post here, but i'm a frequent reader of this great forum. I'm a junior engineer, so forgive my lack of knowledge.

Here is the problem: I have two apron conveyors that transport materials with sizes from 0 to 1/2 inch. Most of the finest of the materials passes through the conveyor belt and goes underneath.
Do you have a solution to get the conveyor more tight in order to prevent the material to pass.

Thanks a lot.

Always a problem with apron type conveyors.
Can you include a photo or drawing of the construction method of the conveyor-from that some solution may be offered?
To what degree(%) does the material pass through.
Can you install cleanout trays under the upper run of conveyor to facilitate the cleanup?
Ross
