Hi,

I am looking to find a vendor for explosion proof scissor lifts that are elctrically powered (not pneumatic).  The scissor lift is for use in a paint booth.

By scissor lift I mean a height adjustable platform on wheels. :)

Cheers,

Kyle

You can try here for starters. You don't say where you are, but this manufacturer can likely give you some dealer info. They supply technology for converting standard equipment into explosion proof equipment.

Here are a couple of links obtained by googling  canada scissor lift explosion proof

http://www.aerialequipmentsearch.com/

http://directory.canadianmanufacturing.com/ then search hoist explosion proof

I think there's a good chance that one of the dealers mentioned can help.

As many lifts are oil-hydraulic driven by electrical integrated pump motor, another solution would be to place the pump, oil aggregate and necessary valves outside the explosion area, and have manually operated valves or only explosion proof valves inside the explosion area.

I work for manliftengineering.com. We are the only battery powered explosion proof boom and scissor lift manufacturer in the States. Reply with any questions.
