Nelson Studs, Antenna Mounts and Interior Coatings

(OP)
I have an elevated storage tank that will have an antenna mast installed on it. The engineer has designed nelson studs, 3/8"dia, for the attachment. the roof is 1/4" plate. How much heat rise locally is expected and does anyone know or have experience on how that can affect an interior paint/coating? thanks

RE: Nelson Studs, Antenna Mounts and Interior Coatings

The local overheating due to the welding of the studs will damage/decompose the interior paint to some extent;- you'll have to remove the calcinated products and extend the cleaning to some adjacent area. Re-coate again as per the approved painting system/procedure applied earlier.
cheers,
